The timeline has been provisionally assembled as an educational tool to visually illustrate milestones in the [past] development of some emergent, socio-technological material legacies arising from our recent history. The future trajectory of this timeline also plots the anticipated and enduring reach for some of these residual impacts across intervals of deep time. The information for each marker has been established by third party international research institutes and consortia, alongside some foundation resources, with links to relevant research provided.
